Free Virus Protection

Last week I went to the doctor’s office and got my flu shot. My wife’s OB/GYN had warned her about how dangerous it can be for an infant to get the flu. So, we all got our flu shots before Adrian Boethius Criswell Stilley was born this last Thursday.

After the delivery, someone in hospital administration called up to the room to ask me about spelling for Adrian’s names (evidently they don’t get too many babies named Boethius — imagine that). She also asked if we wanted him listed in the immunization registry. When a child is registered they keep computer records of all his/her inoculations and they are easily accessible for those who need to know.

These are just a couple of examples of how serious we all take the problem of communicable diseases. Unfortunately, we aren’t always as careful when it comes to the the communicable diseases that our computers can catch. Viruses, worms, hackers, — they even sound nasty.

You might want to check out the free immunization services offered by CyberDefender. With CyberDefender’s security suite you receive real-time security updates and virus alerts, break through technology, and full compatibility with other security software. You can get comparable products from McAfee, Symantec, Pctools, Webroot, Stopzilla and Panda if you want to spend $150. Free vs. $150? Hmmm, tough question. And a big plus, when you protect your PC with the CyberDefender Early Detection Center you get LIVE technical support for any problem with your computer (one time) and 2 GB online backup.

My doctor charged me for my flu shot. The hospital charged us for Adrian’s immunizations. But, you can get free virus protection for your computer with CyberDefender. Check them out.

Radio Disney On My Mind

As the father of four, soon to be five, kids under the age of 10 years old, I know a whole lot more about Disney movies, television shows, radio productions, and characters than you can imagine. In fact, if they ever have a Disney trivia contest aimed at geriatrics I am sure to be a top competitor.

And, as the father of four, soon to be five, kids under the age of 10 years old, I like “free” things — I like free things A LOT. With summer comes summer concert series and Radio Disney is throwing some big FREE concerts at Morey’s Piers New Jersey water park during the month of July.

You can click on this link to get more information about the event. But here are some of the key details for those of you who are interested:

  • July 7th, 14th and 21st – Magic Mondays – Radio Disney’s hottest musical artists will appear live on Morey’s Piers. These FREE concerts will take place at the Radio Disney stage next to the Giant Ferris Wheel on Morey’s Mariner’s Landing pier. Show times are scheduled for 1 pm and 4 pm.
  • The Radio Disney Summer Concert Series finale is scheduled for 2 pm Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the Wildwoods Convention Center Oceanfront Arena with Raven-Symone from Disney Channel’s “That’s so Raven” and the currently showing Walt Disney movie, “College Road Trip” starring Martin Lawrence and Raven-Symone. The July 26th concert will also feature Mitchell Musso from the “Hannah Montana Show”.
  • July 26th Concert ticket holders may enjoy super savings at Morey’s Piers from the time of purchase through July 27, 2008. Simply show your official July 26 Radio Disney Summer Concert Series finale ticket at Guest Services on Mariner’s Landing and receive $10 off an all-day waterpark ticket for either Raging Waters or Ocean Oasis, or $10 off an amusement pier wristband valid for all three of Morey’s Piers, or $15 off a one-day splash and ride combination ticket.
  • If you are thinking of what to do for a fun family vacation be sure to check out these Wildwood events and the many other Things to do in New Jersey.

After a trip like this you might be able to challenge me in a game of Disney Geriatric Jeopardy.
