I usually make a four mile walk to begin each day. It ensures I get some exercise, gets the day started with momentum, gives me some quite time with God, and is an opportunity to listen to audio books. And, I love having a great greenbelt near our house where I can ramble.
Sometimes my schedule is such that my morning walk turns into an evening walk, instead. One of the advantages of an evening walk is that I get to see some beautiful scenery like this . . .
But I also run into other evening walkers like this guy that I would rather avoid.
I get fresh air and see flowers both wild and domesticated, ducks, bunnies, turtles, frogs and lizards, cranes, turkey vultures, hawks, herons and cranes. But I also have seen tarantulas, snakes, coyotes and even a bobcat; which is enough to make me want to stay in and read a good book instead.
