Parking Space Economics 101

I’m not all that old, but the average car now costs more than what I paid for my first house. I can deal with that. But, I am flummoxed by the fact that in large metropolitan areas people are paying more for parking places than I paid for my first house. (Let’s hope that in a few years from now I’m not writing a blog post about how a tankful of gasoline for my automobile costs more than I paid for my first house.)

Anyone who has lived or worked in a locale dense with commuters understands the difficulty of finding parking and paying for it. It’s simply a matter of supply and demand. The demand is greater than the supply, hence the difficulty in finding it. And, since the demand is greater than the supply, the prices rise until the demand levels off. It is basic economics. However, understanding the situation doesn’t help you resolve your need to locate parking at a reasonable price.

If you are one of those seeking London Parking for Rent you may be just about ready to throw your hands in the air and give up. Before you trade your vehicle in for a few sessions with a shrink, check out Park Let. They currently have more than 11,000 parking spaces and garage rentals available for rent in London, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, and other UK towns and cities. They just might be able to get you into a spot that will cost you less than you paid for your first house.
